It was late one Fall when I was on my usual morning walk with my chocolate lab that I began to notice not just one tree, but dozens of trees in my neighborhood that had bird's nests nestled in their leafless branches. As I saw nest after nest, I thought about the way that little nest, tucked securely in the branches, provided a place of safety and of nurturing for the birth and care of the eggs that were huddled closely together. I thought too about how the mother bird would not use that nest to keep her little ones there forever, but her role was to prepare them for their own growth and life--her desire would be to prepare them to fly.
Our Women's Ministries theme for 2010-2011 is "Spread Your Wings" with the accompanying verse from Isaiah 40:31--But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Our desire is to provide a "nest" of sorts--a safe place of connection through a warm welcome and opportunities to build and nurture friendships with other women. We also hope that you find a place where you can "spread your wings" as you not only discover the life God has for you but also become equipped to soar to new spiritual heights.
To be women of faith, from all ages and stages of life, who boldly reach out to share God's life-changing love with women in our community and beyond.
Our Mission
To honor God by providing opportunities for women to learn about God, grow in a personal relationship with Him, build and enjoy friendships with each other and serve God with their spiritual gifts; becoming all that He desires for them to be.
