Frequently Asked Questions about the online directory

  1. Q. How do I get an account?
    A. Just click on this link. You can create a guest account or if you have attended a regular program at FBCG, you can create a FBCG login. To create a FBCG login, you will need to use the name and email address you gave FBCG.

  2. Q. Does Access ACS work with Web browsers on SmartPhones?
    A. Yes, it will work with a wireless hand held device for those users who have permission to search for records.

  3. Q. If I know another member's name and email address, can I sign in as that member and see their record?
    A. No, when you first sign up, you will enter the name and email address. However, the email with the password will be sent to the email address of the member you typed in. So, even if you enter another member's name and address, that other member will receive the email with their password! See below for more security information.

  4. Q. Can other people see my contributions? For example, can the Access ACS administrator see them?
    A. Members can only see their own contributions. Not even the administrator can see your contributions.

  5. Q. Does Access ACS work on a Macintosh?
    A. You can use Access ACS from a Mac.

  6. Q. I forgot my password. How can I find out what it is?
    A. On the Sign In page, under the sign in button, you will see links to help you if you have forgotten your password or user name. You will receive an email with a temporary password.

How FBCG Protects your Security on Access ACS

Keeping membership records that include personal and financial information secure is an important responsibility. We understand you have placed your trust in us and we take this responsibility very seriously. The Access ACS systems are protected, so that your information remains secure.

How we protect your security.

  1. Passwords
    • All users must sign in with an id and password before they can get to any data.
    • When members sign up for the first time through the web site, they must enter their first name, last name, suffix (if they have one) and email address. All of this must match the information in our database. The member is then sent an email with their id and password. This keeps people from being able to go in and sign up as someone else, since the email would go to the actual member in the record, not the person trying to sign in.
  2. Hardware and Software Security
    • All transactions on Access ACS use encryption technology such as Secure Socket Layer (ssl) to transmit information between FBCG, members, and Access ACS.
    • Firewalls and intrusions detection block unauthorized access by individuals.
    • Backups are done regularly and stored offsite.
