New FBCG Governance Proposal

At the Annual meeting on August 28, the membership will be asked to vote on a new set of bylaws. The principle change will be to eliminate the multiple board structure we currently operate under and replace it with a single board structure. These changes would allow FBCG to become more effective in ministry as we grow toward the future God has for us. It will result in a governance structure similar to most churches in Converge Worldwide (formerly Baptist General Conference) and provide more accountability by the staff. The membership will be asked to vote on the Amended bylaws of August 28,2011 and the related Transition Plan The additional links below provide further detail on the proposed bylaw changes.
