Who will the RIDE help in 2010?
Support our FBCG Team. If our team raises $1000 or more, FBCG refugee ministries will receive 60% of the money raised. First Baptist Church of Geneva has a very active Refugee Ministry. Previously, all of the funds raised went to our vibrant & growing Refugee Assistance & Fellowship Team. This year, as The Ride name change suggest: Ride for Refuge, allows us to further our efforts to help those in need of "refuge" through our specific Refugee Ministry (RAFT)as well as through our short-term missions teams who travel to Austria to serve at a refugee camp for displaced people of many nationalities. In addition, we assist single moms, and through our Compassion in Action Ministry, give financial assistance to people in our local community in financial crisis.
