Go Somewhere

Besides sending out North American missionaries, FBCG directly supports and educates nationals serving in their home cultures - in places like Nigeria, China, Turkey and sensitive areas of the Middle East.  Whether in a prayer service, in a local homeless shelter, or in an Ecuadorian camp - our goal is to get first-hand experience to understand God's heart for the world.

To find out more about upcoming trips, attend an informational meeting. Meeting times are listed below.

Upcoming Trips

Ecuador Family Trip
June 6 -15

Description: Families from FBCG travel to the outskirts of Quito, Ecuador to work on building projects on a 300-acre outdoor retreat center with local missionary families. Visits to an orphanage in Quito, interaction with the poor living in the city dump, and worship with nearby townspeople make this a trip that will impact families for years to come.

Team Leaders: Tony and Carolyn Cayton

Donations: School supplies for children in Ecuador can be left in the yellow school bus box in the Welcome center.

Turkey English VBS
July 18-28, 2008

Description:  Our team will plan and lead an English VBS program for Turkish children (ages 9-14) at a church in Istanbul. The goal is to help them grow in their faith and their mastery of English, which they study in school.  Friendships will develop between our kids and the Turkish kids as they take part together in Bible stories, music, discussions, games, crafts, videos, and field trips during the week-long program.  This mission is open to adults and their children who want to share God’s love with the Turks, the unreached people group that FBCG has “adopted.”

Team Leader:  Rita West

Cambodia Outreach
July 21-August 1, 2008

Description: Help Christ build His church in Cambodia as you work alongside our Cambodian and Vietnamese brothers and sisters in their evangelistic efforts, both physical and spiritual. This trip includes construction along with Bible teaching and the training of Cambodian church members.

Team Leader: Tom Tristano

Kenya Sports Camp

Due to all of the violence and the country being in shambles, the doors have been closed for our short-term team to go to Kenya this year.  Our hearts are heavy--not only knowing that we will not be able to do the work to which God has called us, but also knowing that these dear people are facing persecution that we have only read about in books or seen on television.  Please keep Kenya in your prayers!
