Local Outreach

Our Local Outreach Task Force encourages FBCG'ers to serve with some of our 12 community partner groups. These community partner groups include the Crisis Pregnancy Center, Lazarus House Shelter, Love and Action HIV/AIDS Ministry, Riverwoods Christian Center, Wayside Cross Rescue Mission, Young Life Kane County and others.

Along with supporting community partner groups, these FBCG programs reach out to those in need in our community.

Compassion In Action serves those in need in the Fox Valley Area
R.A.F.T. Refugee Assistance Fellowship Team ministers to refugees in Fox Valley
Hang Time Basketball Camp is a one-week camp
Royal Family Kids Camp serves kids in the Kane County Foster Care System
Love & Action Ministry to Families affected by H.I.V./A.I.D.s
Master's Hands helping widows, widowers, and single parents
Toys, INC (In the Name of Christ) provides needy families Christmas gifts

Hang Time Basketball Camp

Hang Time Basketball Camp is offered for one week every summer to 3^rd-8^th grade boys and girls in the community focusing on teaching basketball skills, games, teamwork and building Christ-like character.

Hang Time will not be held this summer, but is planning to return in the Summer of 2010.

Compassion in Action

Your unique talents and resources are needed. You can make a difference in someone’s life for the Lord. God knows and provides for our needs. Sometimes He does that by providing a friend. Working together, we can be that friend. Our ministry team will match your talents and resources to someone in need. Here are just some ideas of how you may help:

Food Drive
Restock our food pantry. Needed Items: Laundry and dish detergents, paper goods, large disposable diapers, toiletry products, canned meats, complete meals in a box, pastas and sauces, cereals, canned fruits, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, soup, canned vegetables, snacks, baking goods, crackers, pastas, rice, powdered potatoes.

You can drop off items during the week at the East campus, Monday through Thursday.
