Christianity 101

This course is for anyone who has ever had trouble understanding or explaining just what it is that Christians believe…and why they believe it.

Course participants will learn:

  • That doctrine is not a dirty word
  • What is and is not essential to Christian belief & practice
  • How to explain/defend Christian beliefs from Scripture
  • How the core beliefs were established by the early church
  • A deeper and more thoughtful ownership of your faith

Theology (which simply means the study of the things of God) is too often written and talked about in a language that the average person cannot understand, a kind of scholarly “Christianeze”. This course will avoid confusing language and talk plainly about the core teachings of Scripture.

Meets: Sundays, 9:45 a.m., West Campus, January 13 through March 2nd.
